Classes scheduled:In 2011:  December 2-4 .Course schedule for 2012 is being finalized.  Check our Calendar for up to the minute schedule.  Other course dates may be added as interest dictates.  We also do private and semi-private lessons in your home pool as long as it is at least 9 feet deep.

Open Water Skills Review Dives to be scheduled when weather breaks in the Spring or during a trip to warm weather locales.

Call us at 330-245-1500 to schedule a "New Student Counseling Session" so that we can be sure you have all the information that you need to become a competent, comfortable and confident diver.                      

You can start your course work by clicking on the logo to the left.  This will connect you with SSI's online training course that will allow you to hit the water swimming with all of the knowledge work that you will need to pass the written test.  By clicking on the picture and completing the online course work, you will automatically be registered with Sea-U-Dive.  While the online course is free, you will still have to pay the fees for the course and complete the classroom and pool sessions and Open Water Skills Review Dives in order to be fully certified.

 Specialty Diver Certification:

               We offer a variety of specialty diver certifications covering a wide range of interests.  We also offer a package of four specialties that will lead to Advanced Diver certification (see below).  Courses are offered monthly on the last Wednesday, or as interest dictates.  Please note that students must own their personal scuba equipment and course specific equipment as listed below.  There is a student discount for this equipment purchased through Sea-U-Dive.  Our most popular courses include:

SSI's Advanced Open Water Certification is the most advanced of the industry, requiring 25 logged dives and at least 4 different specialties.  When you have completed this course you will be a truly advanced diver, not just a card holder.  Course work is offered monthly concurrent with specialty classes. Try Scuba

Ever want to try scuba before laying out the money for the training and equipment?  Not sure that you can handle being completely submerged?  Then our Try Scuba program is for you.  You get to try out the scuba equipment in a very relaxed, controlled pool environment and get to see what you have been missing out on.  This program can be adapted to groups such as Boy or Girls Scouts, Indian Guides and Indian Princesses, or we can even do a Try Scuba at your next birthday party, either at one of the Y pools we use or your home pool.  All the necessary equipment is provided by us along with a fully certified and insured instructor.  While there will be no certification involved, you can see if you might like to become a fully certified Open Water Diver.  The minimum age is 8 years and there are some swimming skills required, including comfort with being fully submerged in water.  An added bonus is that any fees that you pay for a Try Scuba can be applied in full to the cost of a full certification scuba class!
